Save Your Fork, There's Pie!
If you're in the Wichita area on Sunday, I'll be demonstrating some simple food art projects at the Wichita Art Museum from 1 to 3 p.m. (upstairs in the Farha Great Hall). I'll also have my book "Oh, What a Treat!" available for purchase.
It's the perfect time to check out the fabulous, new WAM Art Garden that just opened last weekend. I have one or two new sculpture-inspired ideas from the garden to share, so stop by if you get the chance.

Kooky Conan O'Brien Cookie
Out of all the late night talk show hosts - Conan O'Brien holds a special place in my heart. He's nutty and sweet, but just a little bit nerdy inside.... much like these Nutter Butter pinata cookies that I created in his likeness.
There's a link on Conan's Team Coco website where fans can upload artwork of Conan in various categories - Coco MoCA (The Museum of Conan Art.) So naturally, I submitted these cookies under the "edibles" category. Hopefully they'll get featured.
If Conan should ever invite me to come on his show, I promise to make enough cookies for the entire audience to enjoy.
Here's some step-by-step photos of how I made them. (You know, for the next time you need to bring a batch of Conan cookies to a potluck or "ginger" themed party. National Redhead Day was just last week!) I don't think it's a coincidence either, that the orange slice hair looks remarkably like a crazy clown.
