AIGA in PHX

Just got back from the PIVOT 2011 - AIGA Design Conference in Phoenix, and boy was it hot! She says, wiping the sweat from her brow.


No seriously, it was really hot. But really fun too. There were thousands of designers wearing black, sipping Starbucks coffee and using copious Apple products as we all soaked up three days of design inspiration.


Not only was it a great conference, but I got myself big ol' swag bag full of cool stuff and enjoyed a mini-vacay with my husband. (Eric got to come along... our first trip without kids in over 10 years! I'm not even kidding here, folks. TEN YEARS.)

Check this out.... At the Thursday night opening reception, they had tables and tables of hors d'oeuvres, including this crazy-looking Striped Bass. Dontcha just love the slice of lemon they put in this guy's mouth? Really makes it look more appetizing. Not. I opted for the dim sum. And the open bar.
